The branch enjoys a wide range of activities including a raffle at every meeting, lunch club, canal trips, train rides, fundraising events e.g. tombola and pre-loved book sales at local markets and at the Manor Hospital, we have an annual autumn fayre to raise funds for our branch, a pre-Christmas lunch at a local golf club is always popular along with various visits within the Midlands such as Tutbury Castle and National Memorial Arboretum. A ll suggestions from members are considered. We aim to have a “speaker” at our monthly meetings on various subjects, especially charity organisations such as Macular Disease, Air Ambulance and Dogs for Health. Refreshments are available at each meeting along with a cake, tray bake or homemade biscuit sale to eat at the meeting or take away bags are for sale. New members are always given a warm welcome and we look forward to hearing from you.
